Statistics from a police state such as the PRC are fantastically unreliable.
Nonetheless, I think it would be interesting to compare search queries by type on Baidu and Google. I imagine there are significant differences in search types on the two platforms. If there are no appreciable differences it would suggest that someone is fiddling with the statistics.
